Privacy policy
This page explains what information Bahir Ki Khabar collects, why, and the choices you have about it.
Information we collect
Account information. If you create an account to save listings or set up alerts, we store the email address you register with, the listings you bookmark, and the criteria for any alerts you create. We use this only to operate the features you signed up for — sending you the alert emails you asked for, and showing you your saved listings when you sign in.
Messages sent to us. If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you provide, so we can read and reply to it.
Push notifications. If you choose to enable browser push notifications, your browser creates a subscription used only to deliver the notifications you asked for. We do not attach your name or email address to it.
Technical information. Like any website, our server records standard technical information for security and troubleshooting — for example, IP address and browser type. A submission through the contact form is also checked briefly against the sending IP address, purely to prevent automated spam; that check is not retained beyond a few seconds.
On-device preferences. A setting such as light or dark mode is remembered in your browser’s own local storage. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Cookies and advertising
Signing in uses WordPress’s own standard cookies to keep you logged in between pages. Where advertising is enabled on this site, our advertising partners — which may include Google — can set cookies or use similar technology in your browser to serve ads and measure how they perform, and those ads may be personalised based on your visits to this and other websites. This is standard behaviour for the advertising networks we use, and we do not control how they process that data beyond the choices they make available to you, including through Google’s Ads Settings.
How we use information
- To provide the features you use — accounts, bookmarks, alerts and push notifications.
- To send the emails you have asked for, such as alert notifications or the periodic digest, through our email delivery provider.
- To respond to messages sent through the contact form.
- To keep the site secure and working correctly.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help run the site on our behalf — for example, our email delivery provider, which sends alert and digest emails for us — and, where advertising is enabled, with the advertising networks described above. These providers only receive what they need to do that job.
How long we keep it
Account information is kept for as long as your account is active. If you would like your account or the information attached to it deleted, contact us and we will action that request. A message sent through the contact form is kept only as long as needed to read and respond to it.
Your choices
You can stop or change alert emails from your account dashboard at any time. You can revoke browser push notifications from your browser’s own settings. For anything else — including asking what information we hold about you, correcting it, or deleting it — use the contact form.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time as the site changes. The date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent update.
