Spider-Man: Brand New Day has become the fastest film to surpass $900 million at the North American box office, reaching the figure in 36 days. This broke the previous record held by Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which took 50 days to reach the same milestone. The film is only the second ever to cross $900 million domestically.
Domesticated by Destin Daniel Cretton and starring Tom Holland, the film continued its dominant run at the box office during the Labor Day weekend and was heading toward a sixth consecutive week at number one. By the end of its fifth weekend, it had earned $891.5 million domestically. The film now sits within reach of The Force Awakens’ all-time North American record of $936.6 million.
Globally, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has grossed more than $2.3 billion, placing it among the highest-earning films in cinema history. The strong performance comes as part of a robust 2026 summer box office season, which generated approximately $4.6 billion in ticket sales between May and August, a notable increase from the previous year.
