The collision occurred in Khanewal when the truck driver attempted to overtake the minibus on a narrow road. The impact was severe enough to damage the side of the passenger vehicle and shatter its windows and mirrors. Passengers seated on the affected side sustained serious head and body injuries from the crash.
Rescue 1122 responded to the incident and provided first aid before transporting the critically injured to a medical facility. The three seriously hurt were identified as Iman (42), Abdul Majid (39), and Abdul Ghafoor (46). Several other passengers received minor injuries.
Police have launched an investigation into the accident. The truck driver fled the scene. Rescue officials attributed the collision to reckless driving and excessive speed on the narrow road.
