Punjab’s Public Private Authority approved seven road packages during its fifth meeting on Sunday in Lahore. Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb chaired the session, which focused on infrastructure improvement and institutional performance. Under the approved PPP framework, private bidders will construct and rehabilitate provincial roads, manage operations for seven years, and share profits with the government. The meeting also endorsed local production of Foot-and-Mouth Disease vaccines through similar private partnership arrangements and approved amendments to improve transparency in the bidding process. Aurangzeb said Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s approach of collaborating with the private sector would drive major change for the province.
