- Employer sponsorship
Saudi work visas are employer-sponsored. You cannot obtain one independently, and you cannot lawfully convert a visit visa into one after arrival.
How it works
The employer obtains a visa authorisation, which is then used to apply at the Saudi mission in Pakistan through the approved process. A licensed overseas employment promoter normally handles this on the worker’s behalf.
What you will need
A passport valid well beyond the intended travel date, a medical examination at an approved centre, attested educational and experience documents, and the signed employment contract.
Before you travel
Register with the Protector of Emigrants. Departing for work without that registration leaves you without legal standing if the job is not what was promised.
How to apply
- Employer obtains a visa authorisation Arranged by the employer or their licensed promoter in Pakistan, before any travel.
- Complete a medical examination At an approved centre, since a certificate from any other doctor is not accepted.
- Attest your documents Educational and experience certificates attested through the required chain.
- Apply at the mission with your contract The signed employment contract, medical certificate and attested documents are submitted together.
- Register with the Protector of Emigrants Before departure, since this is what gives your departure legal standing as emigration for work.
- A medical certificate from a centre not on the approved list
- Educational or experience documents that are not properly attested
- A mismatch between the contract submitted and the one registered with the employer
