Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed on Saturday that bringing peace, prosperity and improved living standards to Balochistan remains a central focus of the state. During his visit to Quetta Garrison, the army chief met with senior commanders and field formation officers to assess the current security situation and operational readiness across the province. He stressed that a stable and secure environment is necessary to enable development projects and create economic opportunities for Balochistan’s people. Officials briefed the CDF on the prevailing security conditions, the state of military preparedness, and ongoing initiatives to maintain peace and stability. Coordination among law enforcement agencies and other state institutions was also discussed. Munir acknowledged the professional standards and commitment shown by troops and paid tribute to soldiers who have died in service. He emphasised the need for continued institutional cooperation to sustain economic activity and development in the region.
