Dr Musadik Malik met with UN-Habitat Officer Oddy Angelo from Bolivia on Monday to discuss urban development and flood management. The meeting focused on how international cooperation can lead to real work on the ground rather than just policy discussions.
The minister criticized delays in development projects and urged stakeholders to remove unnecessary hurdles. He emphasized that Pakistan needs practical solutions for communities facing contaminated water, flooding and poor infrastructure.
Dr Malik proposed a competition for young people to create solutions in areas like climate change and green industry. He stressed that resources must reach local populations and that successful models should be scaled up nationally.
