The Tehsil Municipal Administration in Dera Ismail Khan has expanded its cleanliness, plantation and beautification work across the city to improve public spaces. The Tehsil Municipal Officer Abdul Rehman is overseeing sanitation and gardening teams working at multiple locations throughout the district.
As part of a broader plantation campaign by the Dera Development Authority, the officer inspected several sites designated for tree-planting, with special focus on areas along Bannu Road. Staff have been instructed to plant saplings at suitable locations and to water and maintain them regularly.
Weekly cleanliness drives continue in parks across the city, with teams removing rubbish and overgrown vegetation. In the Cantonment area, special cleaning operations were conducted near Midway Hotel in connection with September 6. An encroachment removal operation also cleared temporary structures along Grid Road to Qurtaba College to improve traffic flow.
The municipal officer said the administration views cleanliness, tree-planting and beautification as priority work and has directed teams to maintain regular operations. The goal is to provide residents with cleaner, greener and more accessible public spaces.
