Pakistani expatriates living in Germany celebrated Defence Day and Martyrs Day on September 6 with events held in Berlin and Hamburg. The gatherings allowed the diaspora to honor the armed forces and remember the events of the 1965 war.
In Berlin, a meeting was organized by Muhammad Anser Butt of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Germany chapter. He spoke about the importance of the date and praised the courage shown by soldiers during the conflict.
A separate event took place in Hamburg led by Farid Shah of the Pakistan German Society. He highlighted how the war demonstrated national unity and expressed confidence in current leadership. Another gathering at the Central Multicultural Mosque included prayers for fallen soldiers.
