Applications are now open for the Commonwealth Scholarship program for intake 2027-2028. It is a golden opportunity for students who wants to study in the UK. You can now apply for full-time taught Master’s degree scholarship and Ph.D. as well. The commonwealth scholarship is intended for students from low and middle income commonwealth countries. It is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). It enables talented and potential students to study in one of the UK participating university. What it covers
- Airfare from the home country to the UK and return at the end of the award
- Full fees are covered
- Stipend (living allowance) at the rate of £1,712 per month, or £2,000 per month
- Study travel grant towards the cost of study-related travel within the UK or overseas.
- Child allowance of £622 per month for the first child, and £154 per month for the second and third child under the age of 16, if their children are living with them at the same address in the UK.
Who can apply
- Must be a citizen of eligible Commonwealth country
- Must be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country.
- Must be available to start academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September 2027.
- By September 2027, hold a first degree of at least upper second-class honors standard, or a lower second-class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree).
- Must be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship.
- Must have provided all supporting documentation in the required format.

- Applications are only accepted if submitted directly on the official website of CSC central.
- Applicants are requested to properly read the guidelines given on the official website and then proceed the application.
- Applicants must apply to the CSC centre and the nominator as well.
