Romania became a full member of the Schengen Area on 1 January 2025, so Pakistani travellers apply for the standard Schengen Type C short-stay visa, valid for up to 90 days within 180. The consular fee is 90 euros, with a separate service fee at the visa application centre. Processing normally takes 15 calendar days, and can run to 30 to 60 if extra checks are needed.
Applications go through the Romanian visa application centre in Pakistan. If you already hold a Schengen visa issued for travel via another member state, that visa also covers entry to Romania.
