Deputy Commissioner Captain (Retd) Nadeem Nasir issued these directions after chairing a meeting with officers from the Rawalpindi Development Authority, Municipal Corporation, Building Control Authorities, and Tehsil Administration. The gathering reviewed the status of construction activities and compliance with approved building maps across the district.
Nasir stated that illegal construction and violations of approved plans would not be tolerated. He directed concerned officers to strengthen field monitoring to identify and act against violations promptly according to the law.
The DC also ordered authorities to create awareness among citizens about construction laws and map approval procedures. He emphasized that effective enforcement is essential for orderly city development, reducing traffic pressure, and improving urban planning.
