Employer sponsorship

Work in Qatar requires an employer-sponsored visa arranged before travel, which becomes a residence permit once you have arrived and completed the formalities.

Before travel

Expect a medical examination at an approved centre, fingerprinting and attestation of educational documents. The employment contract should be signed and a copy retained by you.

After arrival

Medical screening, biometrics and residence permit issuance follow within a defined period. Your employer is responsible for completing these.

Contract terms

Check that the contract you sign in Pakistan matches the one registered in Qatar. Where they differ, disputes are decided on the registered version.
